Volunteers of all ages are the lifeblood of our organization. The Hobe Sound Nature Center is a non-profit organization and would be unable to continue the daily operations of the center without the help of our volunteers.

There are a variety of areas where volunteers can help. It is our desire for volunteers to be trained in whatever areas they feel comfortable and with as many different tasks as they wish.

Minimum age for volunteering is 14.

Areas where volunteers are needed:

  • Greeting visitors
  • Gift shop
  • Light office work
  • Assisting staff with school groups
  • Leading hikes
  • Animal care and maintenance
  • Summer camp
  • Turtle walk scouts
